About Us
Our vision is to provide a happy, caring and stimulating environment where children will be helped to achieve their maximum potential while learning to respect others so that all will make their best contribution to society.

Wilmington Primary School is a seven class, one form entry Academy school catering for children aged 4-11 years. The school is popular and oversubscribed with a current roll of 208 children. Situated in the centre of the village, the school is in close proximity to the Wilmington Grammars and Wilmington Secondary Academy.  A 5mph speed limit helps the children gain safe access to the fenced school grounds.

Wilmington Primary is an independent Academy but works in a collaborative partnership with Joydens Wood Junior Academy, Maypole, Wentworth, West Hill and Our Ladys. We benefit from a modern building with specialist facilities that include an ICT suite, a music room, an outdoor classroom attached to the Foundation Stage class and a Creative Room where the children can cook, paint, make models, carry out music and practical science activities. The school has a newly built school kitchen and is proud of the range of high quality meals that are served to the children. A Breakfast Club helps parents with childcare from 8am before school.

The large school field plays host to the District Football Tournament and the playground sees the Dartford District Handball Tournament take place in June. The school provides a creative and stimulating curriculum and is unusual in offering Japanese and Chinese as a modern foreign language in the middle years. Extra curricular club activities include football, kwik cricket, handball, rounders, cross country, drama, art, cookery, saxophones, recorders and orchestra. Children wishing to play the clarinet, flute, violin or guitar are able to purchase lesson tuition during curriculum time.
